Brittany is a born and raised 7th generation Arkansan and 4th generation farmer. They spent a great deal of their childhood running along the Sullivan family farm, hopping hay bales, learning how to fish with their great grandpa, canning with their grandma and understanding the importance of holding onto the foundation that connects us to Earth. Brittany crafted their skills as a chef in the farm to table field in Kansas City, MO and Fort Collins, Co after serving active duty for the US Army in 2009.
Wild Hare is a testament to their love for their family, food and the south.
Sara, born and raised in Kansas, became interested in food and farming after taking a medical anthropology class. Already immersed into a community revolving around food and sustainability, it was exciting for Sara to begin working at Spring Creek Farm and Nursery in Rochester, WA in 2014. It was there that they spent 4 seasons learning about soil, sustainability, farming and the importance of community through food.
